Chelmsford Cultural Strategy

Earlier this year a group of our students went to the newly refurbished Chelmsford Theatre to be part of the launch of the first Cultural Strategy campaign which aims to embed culture at the heart of the city.

Our talented level 3 actors devised an original play sharing their passion and talents for arts and culture including song, dance, radio and acting. They also spoke confidently about their hopes and dreams for the future of arts and culture in Chelmsford to members of Chelmsford City Council, Essex County Council and Trustees from Culture Chelmsford.

Claire Gevaux, CEO of Culture Trust, said ’Your students were the living example of young people-led engagement and they were a significant part of making the event such a success.'   Her email to Mrs Davis went on to say, ‘Your leadership was the glue that held it all together and we could see how hard you worked to ensure that the students felt successful, professional and had their voices heard. It was an utter delight working with you and the school so thank you for jumping on this opportunity and making it such a successful experience for everyone.’
